My Grandpa was basically always inventing things that he needed.
One time, he had a tremendous amount of weeds in the yard plus made a homemade weed eater to take care of the weeds.
I’d never seen anything similar to it until about 10 years later when I saw them for sale in the local hardware store. My Grandpa just laughed plus said “would you look at that” plus walked away. I would have been terribly bothered if I thought of an invention long before someone else did. I would’ve thought about all the money I could have made with my invention plus how much better my life would be. My Grandpa even made his own propane heating equipment by hand using various parts that were lying around the basement. I saw a hit plus miss engine he built using his lathe after he was eventually dead. He also made a boiler plus a small space heating system for the frosty winters out in the garage when he was unquestionably working on cars. He had a couple of old cars that he would task on each night while listening to music plus drinking a beer. He worked in the heating equipment industry so he knew a pretty good amount about both heating plus cooling the property for the seasons. He was a fantastic Grandpa to me, showing me all the odd things he was able to learn over the years for saving money around the property. I came to learn to repair my own air conditioning equipment thanks to him plus saved a huge amount of money on repairs. I miss my Grandpa to this day, but have kept all the things he has taught me also.
