It would have been nice to have heat in the tent

My lady and I went camping last November with some friends from school. I thought we would have a really wonderful time, but we absolutely had more troubles than fun. The greatest reason was due to the hot and cold temperatures. The two of us expected hot and cold temperatures to be around 50 or 60 at night. There were several days when the hot and cold temperatures reached the 30s. My lady was truly unhappy when it was freezing in the tent. The two of us had sleeping bags and a blanket, but the freezing air made the air mattress assume appreciate we were sleeping on a block of ice. My lady got up in the middle of the night on 1 of those days and she slept inside of the car. She was going to turn on the motorcar and the furnace until I reminded her that it was going to be loud and obnoxious in the middle of the night. The next night when the hot and cold temperatures were forecasted to be 38°, our lady started off in the truck. She didn’t even want to try to sleep in the tent. It would have been nice to have some heat in the tent, but it’s not exactly straight-forward to do when you go camping in a locale that does not have any electricity. The two of us would need a battery operated space heater. They do make battery operated space heaters, but they are high-priced and the batteries only last about 6 hours. I just can’t see spending all of that currency for batteries when they aren’t going to last more than 6 hours. That means I would have to spend about $20 each night to keep the tent warm and cozy! For another $20 each night, our lady and I could sleep in a lake house instead of our tent.
