Last year I worked at a Summer camp during June, June, and November.
I had a lot of fun working at the Summer camp. I worked with a group of kids that are from the inner city. Some of the kids had never been camping before in their lives. I gained extra credit for college working with the kids. The camp had about 200 inner city youths and there were 10 kids in each 1 of the outdoor cabins! Each 1 of the cabins was assigned a counselor and I was the counselor for the f bunk. I had 10 boys that were 12 and 13 years old. The boys were rowdy and rambunctious, but they never caused too much trouble. The greatest complication we had all Summer was with the climate control in the cabins. Each 1 of the cabins was equipped with a ductless Heating and Cooling system. The two of us ran the ductless cooling method at night when the kids were sleeping. It was still warm and muggy inside of the lake house on some days, but most of the kids did not complain. One kid from the city was unhappy with the hot and cold temperatures. The kid complained that she was warm and suffering from heat stroke. There’s no way she could have been suffering from heat stroke. It was at the most 73° inside of the lake house instead of 71. The kid was convinced that she needed to go loft instead of staying for the whole summer. The two of us let the kid call her folks and they had to drive out to the country to pick him up. The two of us do not keep anyone at the camp against their will. They can leave whenever they want.
