Have you ever thought about the way elderly people run this country? When it comes to any other job, seasoned people are forced into retirement long before they turn seventy years old.

This doesn’t make sense to me, because if a supplier doesn’t trust an seasoned woman to manage a department, how can seasoned people effectively manage the entire nation? Personally I believe that the elderly are a resource of wisdom and knowledge. My next door neighbor Benny was an Heating and Air Conditioning repair tech for over twenty years. Physically she is not capable of doing the heavy lifting of Heating and Air Conditioning repair, but mentally she knows the job as well as anyone! The last time I needed a tuneup done on our little a/c I didn’t call the store I went next door and talked to Benny. For the cost of a couple of beers Benny sat in her wheelchair and guided myself and others step-by-step through the a/c tuneup process. The two of us were a little slow at times, but Benny was as sharp as ever when it came to navigating the complexities of the a/c components. It’s safe to say that Benny has forgotten more about a/cs than I will ever know. The tuneup went so well that I am going to invite him over again next weekend and help myself and others tune up our oil furnace. I won’t need to use the oil furnace for a few more weeks, but I might as well get it checked out right now.

Tara is our oldest granddaughter, and she was always our favorite.

Wise beyond her years, and always fun to have around, I always enjoyed spending time with Tara. When she graduated private school, she confided in myself and others a secret she was upset about sharing with her parents. Tara knew she was expected to go college to acquire a Bachelor’s degree, or more, but that is not what she wanted. Tara wanted to be a business owner, and she had a plan all worked out for it. With our support, Tara joined the Heating and Air Conditioning training program at the local trade school, as the first step on her master plan for success. For the first many weeks all she did was read, study, go to class, and learn Heating and Air Conditioning tutorial videos online. Although she still had a while to go before getting certified, she got a part-time job with a local Heating and Air Conditioning business for some hands-on experience while she finished her course work. She was living with myself and others at the time, and I didn’t charge her any rent so that she could sink all of her currency into saving up for her own Heating and Air Conditioning shop. By the time she got her Heating and Air Conditioning certification she had a full-time job lined up, and many thoUnited Statesnd dollars saved! Now she is at the point where all she can do is keep working and saving currency for a few years until she develops the contacts, the reputation, and enough currency to become an Heating and Air Conditioning business herself. All the while I get our Heating and Air Conditioning labor done for free.

For several weeks, this tiny rural neighborhood becomes a warm spot for glitz and glamor.

It is the local indie music harvest, with over a hundred bands playing in 12 unusual arenas over the course of several weeks.

This is a locale for young and upcoming musicians to strut their stuff and get noticed by record executives. The entire neighborhood benefits from all the outside attention, and the outside currency. I rent many cabins near town, and for the music harvest every lake house is booked well in advance. I charge more for an air conditioned cabin, but it doesn’t matter how much I raise the price they are always booked. Since about half of our cabins don’t have a/c at all, this year I tried something different. I contacted our seasoned pigskin chum Mike, who runs a small Heating and Air Conditioning supply shop in neighborhood and asked him about renting a few portable a/cs for the 2 month festival. It would be a nice boost of rearena for Mike’s business, and I knew for a fact our patrons wouldn’t bconnect twice at paying extra for an a/c. The day before the festival started Mike and several of her employees came out with a truckload of small a/c units, and suddenly set up 1 in each of the appropriate cabins. These a/cs are truly small, and it only took a few hours to set them up, then next year I should just buy the little a/cs from Walmart or from Amazon, and install them into the cabins permanently.

My friend Ed and I finally found a nice locale to rent together, 1 we could afford.

The loft is not truly big, but it has an amazing view from the top of the hill. The best thing about it is the property, because now Ed and I have many acres of fields and forest to explore. The two of us flipped a coin to see who got first pick of dining rooms, and I won! My dining room is slightly larger than Eds, but it also came with a hidden issue I didn’t notice at first. My dining room window faces the rising sun, which means first thing in the afternoon our room starts heating up. By noon, our room feels appreciate the oil furnace has been turned on, and it gets almost unliveable. Even if I turn down the temperature control it doesn’t help enough. While the AC steadily brings down the temps in the rest of the loft our room stays piping hot. This is a complication for myself and others and Ed both, because running the cooling too much makes her dining room chilly cold. The AC hits her room much harder than it hits mine, so I am sweltering while fifteen feet away Ed is shivering. The only passable remedy I could believe of, that I could afford, was to find a small a/c to use only in our room. I didn’t bother going to a store, where I knew I couldn’t afford an a/c, and instead I went to the local flea market. There I found a 20 year seasoned a/c I could mount in our windowsill.

I told the bar owner that I needed to Stew on the decision for a couple of afternoons.

Everyday after work, I go to the bar to lay and have a couple of drinks. The owner of the bar works there everyday. The girl is pretty nice. She always gives myself and others a wonderful deal on our drinks. I usually have a couple of beers before I finally get up and head loft for the night. There’s nobody at loft except our pet, so it’s lonely at times. That’s 1 of the reasons why I appreciate to go to the bar after work; Yesterday I was in the bar and the owner came up to myself and others and started a conversation. The girl told myself and others that the AC in the bar needs to be upgraded. The owner knew that I worked for an Heating and Air Conditioning repair business, so she wanted to find out if we could labor out a deal. I asked the bar owner what kind of deal she had in mind. She wanted myself and others to repair the AC for free and she would spend money for all of the parts that were necessary. If I offered to do the labor for free, then I could drink in the bar for free for the next 2 years. It honestly sounded appreciate a pretty wonderful deal to me, but I thought that I should believe about it before I said yes. I told the bar owner that I needed to Stew on the decision for a couple of afternoons. Later that night, I got loft and took out a calculator. I multiplied the beers that I always have at the bar by the amount of currency that it costs for each beer. I suddenly realized that I would be drinking for free after 6 weeks. The deal was too wonderful to turn down after I realized how much currency I could save on beer.

I had a truly long day at the heating and AC repair business, but during the afternoon hours, I helped a buyer with a ductless AC installation job.

The girl thought she could do the job on her own, however she called us when it was clearly too complicated.

Took myself and others a couple of hours to get everything set up and working always. After supper, I went downtown to the community center to maintenance an a/c problem. I finished up around 3:00 p.m. and I was hoping that our boss was going to send myself and others loft for the day. Unblessedly, there was another job that needed to be completed. I got sent out to that job and it turned out to be quite a doozy. The buyer needed a brand current AC unit and she wanted us to install it on the same day. I really didn’t want to go all the way back to the shop to pick up the unit and then come back to the maintenance address to do the work, but the buyer gets what the buyer wants and there was no 1 else to do the labor except me. I went back to the unit office and I grabbed 1 of the AC units. I grabbed all the supplies that I would need to complete the installation and then I headed back over to the customer’s loft address. I didn’t finish up with the AC installation job until it was 7:00 at night. By that time, all I wanted to do was go loft and put our feet up. I didn’t want to go to the bar to hang out with our friends. I simply wanted to get loft and go to bed.
