Honestly, I think that it is crazy that there are people that know how to fix HVAC units without being HVAC technicians.
My dad was one of those people.
He could literally fix anything in the house, and we never had to call a repairman to get anything fixed. He didn’t need an HVAC technician because he could easily fix a central air conditioner or a furnace. When I asked my dad how he learned to fix HVAC units, he told me that his dad taught him. However, I know for a fact that my grandfather was not an HVAC technician. In fact, we don’t have a single person in our family that is an HVAC technician, so I have no idea where they actually learned how to fix HVAC units. How do people just instinctively know how to fix HVAC units? Are their brains so mechanical that they can just figure things out? My dad had to learn how to fix an HVAC unit without the internet, meaning that he literally just taught himself how to fix an HVAC unit. I never wanted to learn how to fix an HVAC unit. I know that my dad could teach me, but I wanted to get a good enough job where I could pay someone to fix my HVAC unit. I was never very interested in learning about fixing my own HVAC unit. I would just like to know how they figured out how to fix an HVAC unit. It is super cool that you can learn how to fix your own HVAC unit.
