I wasn’t glad with the idea of splitting down walls plus ceilings for the sake of a duct system. Plus, some of the walls have the studs turned sideways plus are too narrow to accommodate conventional HVAC duct. For quite a few years, all of us struggled with a collection of window a/cs, box fans plus portable electric heaters. The serious weather in the local section plus lack of centralized temperature control meant that the house was uncomfortable all year round. I legitimately hated the look plus inefficiency of our collection of heating plus cooling equipment, then just a handful of years ago, I finally discovered high-velocity heating plus cooling. This type of plan is designed particularally to retrofit actually into older homes. It includes HVAC duct that is only 2 inches in diameter plus flexible enough to snake through existing walls plus ceilings without disfigure. I am entirely glad to have a thermostat to control comfort throughout the whole home.
