The sun shines through the window, and even with sunglasses it can burn your eyes.
It isn’t just your personal discomfort from the strength of the sun shining through the glass, but it is doing harm to your interior. Vinyl can end up cracking, leather may dry out, and the colors will fade. The sun is harmful to everything in the car. The first thing I did when I bought my new car, was take it into the vehicle service center where I bought the car. I told them I wanted to have window tints applied to all the windows. Window tints are used to keep out the harmful rays of the sun. You can get dark window tint that can keep people from looking into the car, or lighter tints that will work only for sun control. Nearly everyone in our area has some kind of window tint in their car and even in their homes. No matter how dark the window tints are, you can still see outside of the car, but it is like having a light tint to your glasses. It mutes the effect of the sun, but the window tint doesn’t hinder your view of the road. I chose a darker window tint for my car, because I didn’t want people looking in at me. When I got pulled over by the police, I found out that my dark window tint was illegal. I wish they had told me this when I had it installed at the service center.
