Having to endure a hot room during the middle of summer without any air conditioning at all felt like the pinnacle of discomfort to me as a child, and I would have to run multiple fans and open windows just to cool down.
Summer is one of my favorite seasons. I love the ambient sounds of the crickets that I can hear outside of my apartment on a summer night, the feeling of natural warmth from outside, and the small break I get from work for vacation. Even when I was a child, summer was my favorite season. Getting to relax at home and enjoy the comfort of my bed or waves at the beach during summer break made my entire life seem like a movie. However, as a child, there was one flaw with all of my summer holidays: my home didn’t have a good air conditioning system at all. Having to endure a hot room during the middle of summer without any air conditioning at all felt like the pinnacle of discomfort to me as a child, and I would have to run multiple fans and open windows just to cool down. Thankfully, as I grew older and moved out, I was able to experience living in places with better air conditioning. This felt amazing to me, as I do live in a very hot, humid climate! Just recently, though, my air conditioner seemed to stop working. I noticed that no matter how often I tried to adjust the temperature on my thermostat, I could only seem to feel the heat of summer from outside! I couldn’t stand the feeling, and made sure to give my HVAC provider a call. If I hadn’t done so, my entire summer would have been reduced to opening windows and running far too many fans instead of being able to enjoy the cool air from a good a/c unit!
