I think that both sides are ready to stop as they realize how utterly pointless it is to be fighting over something that amounts to nothing in their lives. I don’t use our fireplace because our cat gets scared when it sees sparks, however tonight is a special night. I could maybe leave the cat locked in the back study room since it spends a lot of time there anyways. It doesn’t mind the actual sound of the central heat as well as air component when it kicks on, but this fire genuinely freaks it out.
