I couldn’t think it when I got the summons to go to court.
My best friend and I had rented a cottage by the beach for a week.
It was supposed to have excellent air conditioner, and two dining rooms with two baths. Every one of us had two beds in 1 room, a shared bath with the other half of the condo, and disappointing air conditioner. Three months after the experience, I was being summoned to court. The people who had the other half of the apartment were suing the owners on a personal injury lawsuit. They said that the lack of air conditioner and disappointing air quality had caused his asthma to get so out of control, that he ended up in the hospital when he got home. I thought it was a frivolous waste of our time and the court’s time, although he was serious. He wanted me to testify to the lack of air conditioner and disappointing air quality. I knew it wasn’t the best, however our friend and I spent little time in the cottage. I told this to the lawyer who was asking questions, although he kept going back to the disappointing air quality and lack of air conditioner. I admitted that the air conditioner wasn’t as wonderful as it could have been. I didn’t notice the air quality being so bad, unless he was talking about the heat and humidity. I had a wonderful time, and so did our best friend’s. Till the other renters were done with their lawsuit over air quality, all the people got their currency back for the rental, and he ended up with about $50,000 extra.
