I guess that she has her thermostat set exactly the way that she wants it, and if I touch it, then that will mess up everything
Whenever I go over to visit my grandma these days, she is almost impossible to hear. I don’t know if you’re ever around very many older people, but it seems like the older they get the lower they talk. I don’t know if it’s because they are afraid of being too loud or what, but my grandma mumbles like crazy and sometimes I can’t understand a word that she says. Sometimes I wonder if it’s because she can’t hear very well anymore and she thinks that she might be talking too loud. I don’t know what the reason is, but I do know that whenever the air conditioning is running at her house when I go to visit, I can barely hear a word that she says. I keep telling her to speak up, and she will for a minute or so, but then she starts mumbling again! It’s really frustrating because I like talking to my grandma. Sometimes when I go over there, I just go and turn the thermostat up so that her air conditioning will not run while I’m there. But then one day she caught me doing it. She told me not to touch the thermostat settings because it would mess up her smart thermostat schedule. I guess that she has her thermostat set exactly the way that she wants it, and if I touch it, then that will mess up everything. I don’t know. I do know that there must be something wrong with her air conditioning system because of the way that it sounds when it’s running. I don’t think that any air conditioner should be so loud!
