My wife and I were looking at a ductless mini-split HVAC unit for our garage. The garage is not ducted to the rest of the house and there is no heat or air conditioning in the space. My wife and I have often thought about leaving the garage door closed and turning the room into a recreational room. I would happily buy a billiards table and a dartboard and I know my wife would love to have some space play cards with her friends. We have a ton of ideas to make the space more suitable. Unfortunately, it is a very big project due to the fact that we would need heat and air conditioning in the space. A couple of months ago, my wife and I found a ductless mini-split HVAC unit that would be perfect for the garage. The machine was $1179 at that time. We were going to wait to purchase the mini-split HVAC unit, but we went to the hardware store last weekend and the machine was on sale. My wife and I haven’t even started construction on the space yet, but we certainly could not pass up the opportunity to save 20% on the ductless mini-split HVAC unit. Now that we have the machine in our home, I am hopeful that my wife and I will work harder to finish what we started. We already have the drywall and screws, but we haven’t been moving very fast to put up walls and borders. I would love to see our room finished before the weather gets really warm and humid.
