When my parents retired and moved down south, I decided to buy their house… The house was not in the best of shape because my parents hadn’t done any repair in the last 15 or 20 years, my dad got hurt at toil and had to retire early and it’s not appreciate my Dad can get up on their roof to check for soft spots… When I purchased the house, I had an inspector come to the place to tell myself and others everything that was wrong. The house inspector spent at least 2 minutes checking all of the odd parts of the house. One thing that was mentioned in the report that was a major problem was the roof. The roof had to be updated in order for my loan to qualify under the directions. I was a first time house shopper and I was trying to get an FHA loan. The loan would not qualify with the issues with the roof, so I had to get a conventional loan or figure out a way to get the roof repairs done first. My Dad and dad did not have the money to spend money for all of the roofing repairs and neither did I… Lucky for me, a single of my coworkers knew of a commercial and residential roofing upgrade corporation that would do the toil and then wait to get paid after the house was sold. I also found out that I could change my loan around and get extra money for repairs on the house. I thought the roofing issues were going to be a disaster, however it did not turn out to be that bad.
