Something was inside my vent and I almost lost my mind when I heard it.
Out of fear, I screamed and ran out of the room as fast as I could.
This is what I get for not getting my ducts cleaned in a very long time. Now, there was some sort of creature living up there. See, I bought an old house and have been working on it for the past 5 years. This is purely a labor of love because I love the area, and thought the property was worth it. My mom had tried to talk me out of the purchase, but I am stubborn and wanted to also work on my renovation skills. So this house would be a representation of my talent, and a way to advertise my business. Most of the work was complete, but there were still some things that I was yet to handle. One was the HVAC cooling and heating in the house together with the ductwork. My plan was to save up and get all the work done at the same time. But, it seems there was no time to waste because I needed urgent pest control and duct cleaning. I grabbed my phone after catching my breath and called the HVAC company to explain what had happened. The HVAC rep I spoke with told me to contact an exterminator, then book them for duct cleaning and vent dusting. On top of that, it was important to get duct sealing to prevent the critters from getting back into my ducts.
