I called the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier a few afternoons ago, and we’re now at the point where the air conditioner needs to be tuned up.
It won’t be long before my colleague and I are constantly cooling off. We’ve lived this far south for nearly two decades. In my mid-fifties, I was able to retire. So my colleague and I ditched the gas heater, the snow, and the miserable winter season in favor of a region that rarely sees chilly hot and cold temperatures. I’m overjoyed that my colleague and I made this decision because we’ve enjoyed all of the exciting adventures that have come with moving to this area. It took some time to get used to the heat season down here. During the summer and early fall, the heat pump does nothing but produce air conditioning. And it truly appears that the heat pump is working harder than it should! However, we’ve grown accustomed to the high levels of heat and humidity that come with living in this area over the years. Part of our strategy has always been to leave the air conditioning off as long as possible in the spring. And my colleague and I will be doing the same thing this spring. But now that I’m in my mid-seventies, I’m going to rely on air conditioning a little more. Being outside during the afternoon’s peak heating hours is simply not a good idea any longer. The level of heat and humidity almost overwhelms me to the point of dizziness just being outside in the Summer heat. So it appears that I’ll be relying on the air conditioner and heat pump a little more this summer. The heat pump will be ready thanks to the Heating and Air Conditioning professionals and the air conditioning tune up.
