Moving out was always something I looked forward to, especially after I completed school.
My mother had always been the clingy type, and I felt suffocated being around her; Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated our mother and still do, however it gets to a point when a guy must thrive on their own.
After our graduation, I secured a job that required me to transfer a few states away, and I had our choice to get away peacefully. I remember moving into our new beach home with a sigh of relief, however unfortunately, our joy was not to last as I discovered just how much our parents had guaranteed our comfort back home… One night in the new space and I couldn’t help however notice that the heating method was a sham. The night was severely cold, and it seemed as though the HVAC method was only a decorative piece; No amount of adjustment on the control equipment seemed to work. I had to use an external oil furnace to make our room comfortable. Earl the next day, I headed to the outdoor AC equipment to check it out just as I had seen our Mom do when I was home. There seemed to be no activity going on, and it was impossible to concernshoot the issue since I could not deduce any problem, frustrated, I had to call the HVAC specialist whose number I had been given. A few hours later, the two of us concluded that the home needed a new HVAC method installed since the old heat pump was not only outdated however had since stopped working. Unfortunately, the home had been unoccupied for a few months; hence no renovation had been done in this aspect. In the end, I was out shopping for an HVAC method that would last a few years.
