I did a job for the FBI.

I have always been interested in criminal justice and undercover assignments the FBI performs, but instead of going into criminal justice, I decided to become an HVAC technician.

I know that working in criminal justice and working for HVAC are two completely unrelated things, but when I was in college I discovered that I was really good at working with heaters and coolers and it was something I enjoyed.

After entering the HVAC field, I thought my dreams of working for the FBI were over and never to become a reality. One day, however, I was called in by an FBI agent and asked to meet them in one of their local offices. I was a little nervous and I honestly thought I might be in trouble. Come to find out, I wasn’t in trouble, instead I was needed to help them fix a very large air conditioning unit in one of their hidden bases. In order to accomplish this however, I would have to agree to ride with them blindfolded because the location of this base was top secret. I never thought that being an HVAC technician would give me such an opportunity and I was afraid I’d never get one like this again so I accepted. When we arrived at the base I was escorted to the air conditioner that was causing problems. I took it apart and was quickly able to find the problem. After fixing the problem and lubricating all the air conditioner’s moving parts, I inserted some new air filters. I put the air conditioner back together and finished the job. They thanked me for fixing the air conditioner and took me back home. That one experience made being an HVAC technician all worthwhile.
