A new dive bar just opened up around the corner from my apartment building.
- My friends and I decided to go there last Friday night.
The place was having a two-for-one drink special on off tap beers and cider. The bar has an open-concept atmosphere. The place doesn’t have any AC. Since it is on the water, there is a nice breeze most of the time. Unfortunately, Friday night it was very warm and humid and there wasn’t much of a breeze. My friends and I did not have a good time, because the place did not have any AC. Perhaps during the winter or fall months, this place would be an amazing experience, but the middle of summer is not the best time to open a bar without any AC. My friends and I stayed for an hour or two and we enjoyed the cheap beer special. I drank four Budweisers in a short amount of time and I had a little buzz when we left. It’s a good thing that I didn’t have to drive my car anywhere. When the bar started to fill with people, we left the place to go back to my apartment.I would have preferred to hang out at the bar if the indoor climate had been better. I live about two blocks away from the bar, so my place was the closest. I grabbed a couple of six-packs from the corner store to finish our evening in style. We ordered some pizza when we got back to the apartment and we spent the rest of the night in cool comfort.
