Removing stains from grout lines is especially hard

I work for a commercial cleaning business.

I have no problem with the job itself, but some of the stains I need to remove are difficult.

Sometimes, the carpets are so stained that people just completely dye them a different color. While it is labor-intensive to remove stubborn stains, it also gives a good sense of accomplishment. Then the floor looks brand new and clean, I am proud of a job well done. One of my least favorite tasks is working on grout lines. The cleaning company I work for offers tile floor services, including the grout lines. I work on them far too often. I’ve found that the dirt gets embedded deep into the grout. The material is rather porous and absorbs stains. The grout can become discolored and no longer looks clean. Once the stain is sealed in, it is really hard to get it out. Even the best aggressive products and techniques struggle to work on those stains. There are people who hire us to work on their floors once every few years, and the situation can be a big problem. At least with floor stripping and waxing, and commercial carpet cleaning, we usually get the job done in a single morning. With grout lines, we use an entire team of people. The task is very tedious and time-consuming. Even when we devote hours as a team, there are sometimes stains that just don’t come out. If the client is not satisfied with the results, we recommend coloring your grout lines. We can usually cover up most stains and have the floor looking like new again. Even cracks in most types of tiles can be repaired to the point where they are difficult to notice. Unless a floor is in really bad shape, we can make a worthwhile improvement.
