I can gut a room & paint it, and when it comes to moving pipes or adding them, no way. I am not even enjoyable with simple hooking up. When I remodeled our bathroom I had to hire everything out. I want modern shower guts & I didn’t guess I could handle it. I had the local plumber change the shower head & valve, however he also put in a modern toilet & installed our sink vanity. The vanity just required a bit of hooking up. The most difficulty he had was with our pop up drain on the modern sink, and overall it took him maybe an minute. I was so impressed with him. I kept his number & assured him that I would be calling again in the future. I am a hopeless student, but no way would I feel comfortable handling any of that plumbing work that he did. I just don’t have the mind for it. I also hate to potentially make a major repair when I would hire someone to do it. The guy hardly charged me anything & I now guess that everything is installed perfectly. It was worth every penny getting him into our house.
