There was a flyer on the bulletin board at the grocery store.
The flyer was from an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair business.
The flyer said they were offering $69 tune-up specials on heat pumps and A/C units. I had a heat pump and A/C component in our lake house and it sounded prefer the perfect time for a tune-up. I contacted the business to make an appointment and they told me that I did not qualify for the special savings. I did not realize that I misread the flyer. The flyer actually said the tune-up was only available for buyers using the downtown location. I called their location on the east side of town. When I called the location on the north side of town, I found out that they were not having the same special. I thought it was really different and silly that 1 of the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C branches was having a special, but the other 1 did not want to honor the price point. After all, the places were owned by the same business and both located in the same city. I found it to be quite frustrating and aggravatedting and I decided to contact the corporate office for the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C industry so I could give them a piece of our mind. It felt really misleading and much prefer false advertising. The purchaser repair person on the phone agreed with our assessment of the situation and provided to get the corporate office involved so the people I was with and I could get to the bottom of the problem. A few afternoons later, I actually got a call from the corporate headquarters.
