I actually thought everything was just fine with our cooling system. We had the cooling system tuned up every single spring season and I did the same this past season as well. Of course, we experienced a brutal heatwave, but I was certain the A/C system would have no issues. Of course, I was wrong about that. The A/C system ended up breaking down. I called the HVAC company to try to have a professional come out right away, but they said it would take several days to get to our place. They were extremely busy during this heatwave and I realized that cooling systems were probably breaking down left and right, especially since ours did despite it being tuned up. Then my wife reminded me that we had some spare window A/C units in the garage, she thought. My eyes lit up when she reminded me of that and I rushed to find the window A/C units. I was looking everywhere and throwing things around. Then I realized that the window A/C units were not there because I lent them to my brother last hot season and he never returned them! I ended up calling my brother and asked if his cooling system was working. He said everything was all good at his place and then I asked if he had my window A/C units. He said he did and said he could bring them over if I wished. I asked him to please do that, and next thing I knew he was over with the window A/C units. He helped me install them and said it was a shame that my A/C system broke down. At least those cooling units helped a lot.
