After passing my home heating vents, I doubled back to take another look.
To my realization, there was quite a load of filth coming out of it! I went in search of a vacuum cleaner and started sucking away all of the dirt and hair.
Still, with all that cleared away, I couldn’t stop myself from thinking if that was the state of the vent on the outside, what was it like on the inside? I looked into methods of cleaning the inside which is when I came across duct cleaning. Apparently an HVAC duct can become really awful on the inside, so it is actually a necessity to have a heating plus cooling technician come out to clean them regularly. I was fine with this, and got in touch with a HVAC company to schedule our appointment. Luckily the cooling company wasn’t busy, and they promised to have the HVAC specialist out as soon as tomorrow! The HVAC professional came the following day, and worked for quite some time to completely eliminate all the gunk. I was grateful when he was finally finished, and I had the knowledge that all of that disgusting stuff was cleaned away. Plus I knew our home was cleaner together with the air. I will always have to make sure to get HVAC duct cleanings every so often to ensure this did not happen again. This also got me searching for other ways I can start keeping the home clean. This is when I learned about how dirty your indoor air could be and decided to invest in a whole home media media air cleaner to clean the air. I am currently on a mission for my condo to be completely clean. When it is, I will be in a better place.
