Our sister came to her house with a kitten one day which meant we had to provide her with plenty of care tips.
This included how to make sure that she was playful with the kitten and spoke to it on numerous occasions.
The goal here was to make the kitten friendly. In addition, we had to remind my sister to get all of the essentials, bowls, scratching post, litter box etc. The day my sister first introduced the kitten to her arena, we told her she should place it in a specific room, so that the small kitty can adapt better to the new space. Our sister took all of the advice and told me a week later the kitten was playing more. It was not as shy as when she first placed it in the room. Another crucial piece of advice we almost forgot to tell her was to be sure she got more air conditioner filters, which sounded bizarre at the time. Still, we told our sister that she wouldn’t fathom how much pets can shed. The hair would clog up air conditioner filters so she had to buy a whole box of air conditioner filters to last. I don’t think our sister believed us much at first, until she had lived with the kitten for half a year or so. Reality sets in just how much they can shed. Our sister did as we had recommended and bought a box of Heating & Air Conditioning filters from a nearby air conditioner company. We think we were aware of what we were talking about, we have 3 cats and need to change my HEPA filters several times in a year.
