I live in a colder climate, & our oil furnace is pressing to our family’s comfort, it gets so frigid where I live, that I respectfully have to run our oil furnace 24/7 during the coldest Wintertide months, which is why I was so exasperated to wake up 1 morning to think our oil furnace blowing frigid air, then my family instantly observed how frigid it was becoming in our house, wanting to keep them as comfortable as possible, I did what I always do when something breaks, & turned to YouTube.
The man in the video made it seem easy enough: replace the defective part, & replace it with the current part; Easy, right? I went to the hardware store to buy the part I needed, & when I got back beach home the defective part came out with ease, & the current piece fit in the way it was supposed to, however, when I went to turn our oil furnace back on, I was still getting frigid air. I did some troubleshooting, including checking our air filter & the pilot light, however neither 1 of those was the problem, so I looked up some more YouTube videos & believed that I found the solution. I went back to the hardware store & purchased the current piece that I thought was the problem, but, unfortunately, it did not maintain our oil furnace. Feeling exasperated, & our family cold, I decided to call our heating & A/C contractor. She was able to come out abruptly & identify the problem. Luckily the contractor fixed our oil furnace abruptly, & had our family feeling comfortable again in no time. Next time our oil furnace breaks, I will skip YouTube & go straight to a professional.
