High velocity HVAC method is designed for older homes

My condo was originally built in the mid 1700s plus still includes original features.

I prefer the hardwood floors, railings, staircase, moldings plus doors.

I prefer the high ceilings, big windows plus stained glass. However, the condo has presented some challenges. Both of us needed to install a whole new breaker panel plus have all of the wiring replaced to keep up with current demands for electricity. Both of us gradually updated all of the galvanized, corroded plumbing pipes to PVC. We’ve installed Energy Star rated windows plus exterior doors. One of our largest concerns was temperature control. The condo was constructed before the invention of forced air heating plus cooling systems. There was no ductwork installed. I wasn’t happy with the method of breaking down walls plus ceilings for the sake of a duct system. Plus, some of the walls have the studs turned sideways plus are too tight to accommodate conventional ductwork. For quite a few years, we struggled with a collection of window air conditioners, box fans plus portable electric heaters. The extreme weather in the local area plus lack of centralized temperature control meant that the condo was uncomfortable all year round. I absolutely hated the look plus inefficiency of our collection of heating plus cooling equipment. None of years ago, I finally discovered high-velocity heating plus cooling. This style of method is designed certainally to retrofit certainly into older homes. It includes ductwork that is only two inches in diameter plus adjustable enough to snake through existing walls plus ceilings separate from damage. I am actually happy to have a control component to control comfort throughout the whole home.
