He showed me how to hook up the can to the A/C compressor and he had me refill the coolant
I couldn’t tell you how many times I have suffered driving to and from work. It wasn’t only the lengthy commute that really got to me, but it was also the fact that my car never had A/C. I always thought about just taking my car to the shop to get the air conditioning fixed, but then I was always worried that it was going to be way too expensive. Also, I didn’t want them to find a bunch of stuff that they thought I should have fixed. I didn’t want to pay a small fortune on this car that wasn’t anything too impressive in the first place. So I went numerous years just dying on the highway in the summer without any A/C at all. I would crank the radio and roll the windows down. Sometimes I didn’t mind just having the windows down, but on the really hot days it was unbearable at times. Eventually a friend was asking me why I didn’t get the A/C fixed in my car and so I told him. He laughed and said he could fix the A/C for me. I was skeptical and then he proved it to me. He took me to an auto parts store where he picked up some type of spray can with some adapters on it. He showed me how to hook up the can to the A/C compressor and he had me refill the coolant. It was unbelievably easy and it didn’t take that long to do. Then we got back on the road and he had me turn on the A/C system and I was in disbelief when the air conditioner was blowing ice-cold air!
