Actually, it’s radiant floor heating
I haven’t been a fan of the winter since moving up north more than 3 decades ago. In fact, you could say that I was more like dreading the winter each year. And the older I got, the less I wanted to deal with the cold, snow and ice involved with our winter. Plus, while I was most thankful for our HVAC heating, I was never really cozy in my house. Instead, the thermostat was set to where we could not freeze but also control the cost of the HVAC heating. And if you’ve ever had to pay for heating up north, you know just what I’m talking about. So each winter, I just sort of hunkered down and got through it the best that I could. It wasn’t unusual for me to sit and watch TV with a space heater sitting right in front of me. And I even had a space heater at my desk in the office even though there was zone controlled HVAC in that building. Finally, my husband and I were able to build a home. This was a house for just the two of us as the kids were then on their own. So we chose to go with some details that the two of us always wanted. One of those things turned out to be a geothermal heat pump. And the geo heat pump transfers heat through radiant heating. Actually, it’s radiant floor heating. But this sort of HVAC heating is just the most comfortable and cozy of any I have yet to experience. Finally, after all these years, I’m really warm and cozy inside my home.
