Last summer, our wife plus I decided to take our numerous teenagers to the mountains for a 6-day vacation.
We rented a condo close to the lake however near the top of the mountain. The forecasted temperatures for our week-long visit were in the 90s. My absolutely first concern was our comfort inside of the cabin. There was no listing for the A/C or furnace. I was anxious that the people I was with and I would not have A/C at all. I contacted the rental agency to discuss our reservation. They assured me that the condo was equipped with various air handlers plus mini-split ductless A/C units. I did not suppose the first thing about ductless A/C units. I thought they were the same thing as a window unit. When I told our wife about the air-conditioning situation, she wanted to change our plans. The teenagers were excited, so that was not going to work. I told our wife that the people I was with and I would make the best of a situation. I even promised to drive all the way to the neighborhood to buy a portable air conditioner if the apartment was not cool enough. I was anxious that the ductless A/C units would not give enough cooling plus I was foolish for believing that, but each 1 of the rooms in the condo had a separate ductless air conditioner. The teenagers only kept theirs set at 70 degrees, because the A/C units work so well. We did not have anything at all to worry about during that trip plus the people I was with and I had an amazing week in nature with our whole family together.
