Climate change certainly isn’t a joke, and we basically had to learn the hard way last summer… We live in a generally dry section and experience overheated hot seasons. We had chosen to relocate to the area a decade ago for work. It was much different from the section all of us grew up in, however my hubby and I loved it a great deal. As snow seemed dreamy, I was never looking forward to residing in such mountainous areas again in my life. Still, my current condo wasn’t perfect, and all of us had to make adjustments over the years. Instead of a gas heating device, all of us invested in a quality cooling unit. The heat went on for months which meant all of us had to find ways to keep the condo cool. Last summer time was a little different in that all of us experienced the worst and longest heatwave ever. From the start, the summer time was quite hot. We had to keep adjusting the cooling unit to keep the condo cool. When it was finally time to pay the energy bill, all of us were stunned since it had more than doubled. Hoping to find a solution for this, all of us contacted an AC contractor to speak to an expert. An air conditioner expert came by our condo a short while later. This was the first time all of us heard about radiant barriers that we’d install in the house’s attic, and radiant barriers would easily reduce summer time heat in the household, thus lowering the cooling expenses. These barriers were made using effective material that would block the overheated sun rays and keep our condo a great deal cooler. Adding the radiant barriers wasn’t cheap in the least, however all of us knew this was an investment worth making in order to lower cooling costs.
