Talk about a lot of dirty work, I just watched the guys working out in the streets and it looked like it wasn’t very fun.
They are city workers and I’m sure they don’t get paid a lot of money for their hard work.
I am so happy I got out of the manual labor field almost 15 years ago. It was one of the best moves I made and it saved my body from a lot of damage. I had fallen off a couple roofs and got injured in many other ways doing manual labor. Thank God I’m done. I saw the road crew doing a sewer line installation job, which took several months, and it did not look like easy work. A lot of the time they were down in the trenches under the blacktop digging with shovels to expose the old pipes in the street that were probably leaking as they looked really old and rusty. I know that leak repairs are dirty work and when it is underground with sewer lines the work is that much more nasty. I take off my hat to these workers and maybe one day when I go by and they are working on it again I’ll give them a cold six pack of beer as thanks. Even the drain cleaning service techs have a dirty job especially when it deals with sewer clogs where they have to work with the nasty stuff that we leave behind. I used to do this with my old company and know how hard it is sometimes. Thanks to all you guys working in the trenches.
