Duct cleaning makes an improvement

Last winter, I observed that cooking stinks were spreading throughout the entire home & lingering for seconds & seconds… When we’d head to bed at night, our study rooms would smell of whatever I’d prepared for supper. With the outside temperature down into the teens, there was no opening of opening a window & airing out the house. Both of us were running the gas furnace at maximum capacity. The presence of the cooking stinks made me more aware of the amount of dust floating around. I started getting upset about the health & cleanliness of our indoor breathing air. I finally contacted a local Heating & Air Conditioning contractor & asked him to take a look at the heater. The serviceman diagnosed the inner laborings of the gas furnace & found no complications. He then diagnosed the HVAC duct & discovered an scary amount of debris built-up in the pipes. He said that this accumulation of dust & dirt was absorbing stinks & spreading them to every room in the home whenever the gas furnace operated. Because our breathing air passes through the HVAC duct numerous times per afternoon, any toxins concealed within the method are a big concern, and mold spores & bacteria can truly become airborne & cause health risks. The serviceman recommended duct cleaning. I assumed that this would be an invasive & extravagant project. Instead, he brought in a equipment that resembled an oversized vacuum cleaner, complete with a hose & brush affixment. The brush works to dislodge stubborn contaminants that then get sucked into the hose. The duct cleaning resulted in a significant improvement in the comfort & hygiene of the home. It also increased the efficiency & capacity of the gas furnace.
