I should have checked the condition of the HVAC

When I first bought a home, I really should have had the HVAC system checked, the home inspector did a great job and was able to give me all the information I needed about the house, basically, the home was in great condition, the roof was only 10 years old and was in great shape, however she did suggest me to reach out to an HVAC expert, but I just assumed that everything would be just great because the HVAC system did work when we tried it out. While we were in the first fall season, I had an HVAC expert come out to tune up the furnace. She gave me some terrible news at that time, that even if the system was tuned up, it looked like it was going to struggle pretty badly through the winter. She recommended that I have a new furnace installed, and while I was at it, I might as well hook up an energy efficient cooling system as well. I didn’t have a lot of money left over after investing in a new house, so I felt like I was stuck. I got a quote for a new upgrade and it looked legitimately undoable. I now had to figure out if I wanted to take my chances with the old HVAC getting through the winter, or go with something else. Fortunately, my friends had my back. They told me about ductless mini splits that are DIY and how I could install it all for a fraction of the cost. I was tired of doing this, but I was desperate, surprisingly, it wasn’t too hard to install, and suddenly I was covered through the winter time with perfect heating and I can’t wait to see how well it does next summer.
