I should have taken a closer look at the heating and cooling unit

When I first purchased a home, I absolutely should have had the Heating and A/C system checked.

The home inspector did a nice job and was able to give me all the information I needed about the house, basically, the house was in good condition, the roof was only 10 years old and was in good shape, but he did recommend me to reach out to an HVAC expert, but I just thought that everything would be just fine because the HVAC system did work when I tried it out.

The first fall season, I had a Heating, Ventilation and A/C expert come out to tune up the heating system. He gave me some bad news at that time, that even if the system was tuned up, it looked like it was going to struggle pretty badly through the winter. He advised that I have a new heating system installed, and while I was at it, I might as well hook up an energy efficient cooling system as well. I didn’t have a lot of money left over after investing in a new house, so I felt worried that I was stuck. I got a quote for a new installation and it looked absolutely undoable. I now had to figure out if I wanted to take my chances with the old Heating and A/C getting through the winter, or go with something else, and fortunately, my buddies had my back. They told me about ductless mini splits that are DIY and how I could install it all for a fraction of the cost. I was weary about doing this, but I was desperate. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too tough to install, and I was covered through the winter time with perfect heating and I can’t wait to see how well it does next summer.
