I wish I had inspected the HVAC system

When I first bought a home, I truly should have had the HVAC system checked, the house inspector did a good job and was able to give me all the information I needed about the house, basically, the house was in excellent condition, the roof was only 10 years old and was in great shape.

He did recommend me to reach out to an HVAC expert, although I just assumed that everything would be just fine because the HVAC method did work when all of us checked it out.

But during the first fall season, I had an HVAC expert come out to tune up the heating system. He gave me some bad news at that time, that even if the unit was tuned up, it looked like it was going to struggle pretty badly through the winter season. He advised that I have a new heating system installed, and while I was at it, I might as well hook up an energy efficient cooling unit as well, and I didn’t have a lot of money left over after investing in a new house, so I felt like I was stuck. I got an opportunity for a new upgrade and it looked entirely undoable. I now had to figure out if I wanted to take my chances with the old HVAC getting through the winter season, or go with something else! Fortunately, my buddies had my back. They told me about ductless mini splits that are DIY and how I install it all for a fraction of the cost. I was tired of doing this, although I was desperate. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too difficult to install, and suddenly I was covered through the winter season with perfect heating and I can’t wait to see how well it does next winter season.
