Learning all about HVAC equipment

I recently decided to attend a workshop at one of the nearby home improvement stores, and this unique workshop was for ladies only and was all about your HVAC system.

Since I suppose nothing about how an HVAC system works, I was afraid I would be embarrassed in the class, but it turns out though, that all the people do not know how the heating and cooling systems work in your house, but this is especially true for ladies. I guess that all I know about my a see if when to turn my thermostat knob from heating to cooling, if it’s too warm in the house, turn the thermostat down a little. Anything more than that, and I am lost. That is when I discovered that most HVAC systems are called forced air heating and cooling systems. That means that the air that comes out of the vents that is chilly during the summer and warm during the winter time is pushed through the ductwork and into your home rooms. I regularly just called it heating or cooling, and I never knew that there was something called forced air systems. Anyway, that was the first thing I learned. The hour thing I learned was how to troubleshoot when the AC does not seem to be working. I learned that if the outside AC machine seems to be running normally but there is no air coming out of the AC vents, the problem is likely with the AC blower. If I went plus turned down the air-conditioning thermostat plus there was still no air coming out of the air vents, I would need to check something and I could be reasonably sure that it was the AC blower that was the problem. I also learned that it is legitimately scarce for an HVAC thermostat to break. I regularly thought the thermostat was the thing that was genuinely broken because one time 30 years ago my AC was broken plus it turned out to be the thermostat. It is not until today that I learned that that is legitimately rare.
