My parents are going to be downsizing later on this year whenever they sell their house.
They keep telling us that they are ready to move out of there and find a new place, but my mom is really picky about where she wants to move when they leave this house.
She has already given the realtor a whole big list of things that she wants in the new house, but so far they haven’t been able to find anything that fits with her criteria yet. I feel sorry for whatever realtor they are working with, because I know how picky my mom is. First of all, she wants to make sure that she has four bedrooms because she needs one for each one of the grandkids. Secondly, she needs a fully finished basement. She means a three car garage and a wood burning fireplace in both the master bedroom and the living room. She would like to have radiant heated flooring throughout the house, but If that is not possible then she at least wants it in the kitchen and then the master bathroom. She also has said that she would like to have an air purification system in the house. She wants it set up to run in tandem with the high efficiency heating and cooling system that she also wants. She said that she would prefer to have a UV light air purification system, but she would make do with the other kind if necessary. I don’t know if they’re ever going to find a new house. The house that they are living in right now is huge, so a four bedroom place will be a step down for them!
