Back in the spring, I won a raffle that they were doing to raise money for my son’s school. I bought a few tickets, but I never really expected to win anything. However, I somehow ended up winning the grand prize! I was really surprised that I won because I never win anything. I honestly don’t think that I have ever won anything else in my entire life, even a game of Bingo. But somehow, the stars must have all aligned that day of the raffle drawing because I got the call that I had won the prize. I was even more excited when I found out what the prize was because I had won a brand new high efficiency heating and cooling system! This was something that I was in the market for anyway, but it was taking me a long time to figure out exactly what kind of HVAC unit I wanted. I really needed to get a replacement because our old central air conditioning system had stopped working and I needed a new one. This whole thing happened right around the time that the weather was heating up for the first time this year and I wasn’t about to wait until the heat of the summer to start looking for a new air conditioning. At that point, I was overwhelmed by the fact that new HVAC units were so expensive. I had no idea up until that point that they cost quite so much. Anyway, whenever I found out that I had won a brand new one by purchasing some $5 raffle tickets, I felt like I was the luckiest person in the whole world.
