Working on the top floor of the building is hard in the summertime.
Whenever I got a promotion a couple of years ago, I thought that working on the top floor was the culmination of years of dreams! I always wanted to labor up on the top floor because that was where all of the head bosses worked.
I always wanted to move on up in the corporation, both literally & figuratively. Anyway, I got a rude awakening that first Summer when I started working up on the top floor. I had never been up there while I was in the Summer before, & I did not realize that the temperature upstairs was so much hotter than the rest of the building while I was in the Summer weeks. It was entirely miserable while I was in August & August. I know that there is something wrong with the ventilation proposal up there because the a/c just doesn’t seem to do what it’s supposed to do. But now that I have been up there a couple of years, I have l acquired a few tricks. Last summer, I brought in 1 of those little personal a/cs to put on our desk just so I could try to keep cool. I don’t understand how the important people in the building walk around in 3 piece suits all day while I was in the Summer weeks. I know that it is still miserably tepid up there, & they entirely need to have something done about the central a/c proposal in the building. You would know that they would try to make the upstairs more comfortable!
