Back when I was in school, which was almost thirty years ago now, there wasn’t any a/c in the buildings at all.
I used to have to go to school whenever the hot & cold temperatures outside were in the 90s.
They never let us out of school due to heat advisories or anything appreciate that! Kids these afternoons entirely don’t know how great they have it. I know that just sounds appreciate something that ancient people say, but that’s entirely how it is these afternoons. I remember being so tepid when I was in class in the afternoons that it was nearly impossible to stay awake after brunch. I hated the fact that there was no a/c in the school buildings when I was growing up. I thought that it was ridiculous that nobody had a/c in the schools down there in the south where I used to live. The hot & cold temperatures are entirely terrible while I was in the Summer & early fall in the south & people just don’t seem to understand the need for central a/c in schools. I don’t know why people seem to know that adolescents don’t need a/c as much as adults do. I always had a entirely difficult time concentrating in school anyway, even when it wasn’t super tepid outside. Having no a/c made it ten times worse & it was rough being in class. I’m ecstatic that most of the schools around here where every one of us live now entirely do have a/c in most of the classrooms. It makes life much easier.
