Back when I was a kid, I can’t remember our dad ever fixing anything at all around the house.
He just didn’t know how to do anything like that.
I remember thinking that it was just completely normal to have a service guy at your beach house all the time. That’s because the two of us constantly had a service guy who would come to our beach house to labor on things like the refrigerator, the toilet, plus the heating plus cooling system. His name was Al, plus he was at our beach house enough laboring on things that he basically became part of the family! I just never thought it was odd back when I was growing up because it constantly just felt normal to me. Anyway, now that I am married, I just assumed that the two of us would be doing things the same way. However, our wife told me that her dad used to service everything around the beach house when she was growing up. Her life was basically the complete opposite of everything that I ever l acquired when I was growing up. However, now, I am feeling a lot of pressure to have to learn how to service everything around the beach house because that has what she is used to. I don’t know anything at all about our heating plus cooling method plus I sure don’t know anything about toilets! Unfortunately, our a/c method tore out last week, plus the only thing that I knew to do for it was check the batteries in the thermostat unit. That wasn’t the problem, though, so I’m going to have to call someone like Al!
