If you want to become a certified heating and air conditioning specialist you can not do it by reading a book.
A lot of people assume that just because a lot of college courses are taught by books that heating and air conditioning are the same.
This is not the case whatsoever! With a heating and air conditioning school you need hands-on teaching and to listen to the teacher. Becoming a certified heat and a/c specialist is nothing like going to become a business manager or a lawyer. It isn’t taught by books. Sure you can learn more information about heating and air conditioning by reading books, but it isn’t going to make you a heating and cooling professional. Many people have tried this and then went to take their test to become a certified heat and a/c specialist and they failed. Waste of money and time on their part. If you just went to heating and air conditioning school and went through all the months of teaching and training you would then become a heating and air conditioning professional with no problem and be able to pass that final test at the end of the course if in fact heating and air conditioning repair and installation work is for you. Some it is, some it isn’t. You won’t really know until you actually go and try your hand at going to school. I thought this would be a good point to show about books vs real education and hands-on experience when it comes to teaching and training in the heating and air conditioning world.
