My brother took his car to an automotive customization shop last week.
- He told dad he was going to have a new exhaust system installed on the car.
Dad had said he thought he smelled an exhaust leak, so he was happy my brother was stepping up and taking responsibility. When my brother got home that night, my dad didn’t look very happy. He made a face and said he thought he was having a new exhaust system installed. My brother laughed and said he did. He had glass packs installed, and he thought they sounded amazing. Dad was going to call the automotive customization shop and have my brother take the car back and get the glass packs removed. He said he didn’t give him money to make more noise, but to get rid of the noise the car was already making. My brother simply rolled his eyes and started walking away, but dad wasn’t having any of it. He was really upset that my brother had gone to the automotive customization shop and not had his muffler repaired, but exchanged for what he called ‘a noise maker’. Dad pulled him back by the shirt collar and asked what he was going to do first thing in the morning? He promised to go back to the automotive customization and get rid of the glass packs. I wasn’t home when he returned from the auto shop, but dad was in a pretty decent mood, and my brother was moody. My brother’s car was quiet as he rolled up into the driveway later that evening, when he came home from the automotive customization shop.
