Who should consider becoming an HVAC technician? Honestly, I think that everyone should consider becoming an HVAC technician.
By this, I do not mean that everyone is made to be an HVAC technician. Instead, I think that every student should seriously consider becoming an HVAC technician as a serious option among many good options. HVAC work is not for everyone, but HVAC work is fun and pays well. You can become a certified HVAC technician without ever going to college. In fact, the HVAC company might even be willing to pay for your training as an HVAC technician if you work for them. HVAC technicians are always necessary since nearly everyone owns an HVAC unit of some kind. You could literally move to anywhere in the country and find people that need their HVAC units fixed. Since people aren’t seriously considering trade work anymore, HVAC companies are always looking for people that want to become HVAC technicians, and they are willing to pay their HVAC technicians well to ensure that they stay. HVAC work is very fun. Every day brings a new challenge. You might be fixing an old HVAC unit, installing a new HVAC unit, inspecting HVAC units, or something else. Each HVAC repair brings a new challenge, which makes each day fun. I have been an HVAC technician for years, and I highly recommend it. HVAC work may not be right for you, but it is worth trying out for a few days to see if this is something that you could see yourself doing long-term. Even if the HVAC work isn’t right for you, at least you would have that settled, which would allow you to search for the perfect job.
