I am finding more and more reasons to get rid of the dog

My girlfriend moved into my house a couple of weeks ago.

I thought the transition would be just fine.

After all, I have met my girlfriend’s kids several times and we had a chance to spend time together before we were all cohabitating as a family. In order to make the kids happy about the move, my girlfriend bought them a dog. The dog was not trained when it moved into my home. The dog sheds hair everywhere. Even though I change the air filter in the heating and air conditioning unit frequently, there is still dog hair all over the house. There is hair in the bathroom and in the kitchen. No matter where I go, dog hair seems to follow. I think I have a small allergy to dogs, because I have been sneezing and sniffling a lot more since the dog arrived. Of course, I could be allergic to the kids too. The problems with the indoor air quality are not the only reason why I don’t like having a dog. There are dog scratch marks all over the leather of my brand new sofa. The dog likes to use the sofa to scratch and the weather is ripped up and the new couch looks old and worn. I thought I wanted my girlfriend and her kids to move into the house with me, but everyday I am regretting that decision more and more. Too bad there is no way to go backward from here. If we can’t get along together as a family, then she isn’t the one for me.
