I almost got bitten

I went to a housing complex to work on a heat pump problem.

The manager was in the office when I arrived.

I double checked with the manager then the leasing agent just to be sure that there were no pets inside of the apartment. The manager looked at her paperwork as well as she confirmed that there were no pets listed on the lease. I have had some troubles in the past with dangerous pets, so I like to knock on the door even if there is not supposed to be anyone at home. Usually if there is a dangerous pet in there not listed on the lease, the pet will start to bark at the sound of my voice as well as the knock on the door. I knocked on the door of the apartment as well as there was no sound at all. I turned the key genuinely gently as well as opened the door just a small amount. I yelled again as well as announced myself as the heat pump repair company. Abruptly the door closed on my foot as well as I saw a large black lab standing right in front of me. The large pet was snarling as well as growling as well as she tried to bite my leg more than once. I barely got the door closed as well as locked as well as I went to the office to speak with the manager. I told the manager that the lady in the house had a pet. I provided the staff the house number for the heating pump repair again as well as it turns out that they looked at the wrong file when they checked on the pet the 1st time. There was a pet listed on the renter’s lease. The error by the management team nearly cost myself and others a leg.
