My adolescents had never seen such snow until recently.
Both of us have lived down south for over 10 years now.
All of the adolescents were born here as well as none of them have ever seen any snow except on tv. When we had a couple of forecasted afternoons that were going to be chilly overnight, it seemed to be the perfect recipe for a few flurries. When the forecast started showing rain, I kept my fingers and toes crossed for snow. Both of us had to use the heat pump a lot more than normal because of the cold afternoons. The heating pump worked hard while we were in those chilly afternoons than it has in the past 5 years. The heating pump does a great task of heating our condo as well as it is efficient to use as an cooling system while we were in the humid Summer months too, on the hour night of the record-cutting chilly temperatures, the overnight low was twenty degrees. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the washroom as well as it was entirely snowing. I pondered waking up the adolescents, but they were supposed to go to the university the next day. I took a couple of pictures as well as a video. I looked at the local weather forecast as well as it was calling for another hour of precipitation. When the adolescents woke up the following day, there was a light dusting of snow on the ground. It only lasted for an hour or so, but there was a small amount of snow on the ground when the adolescents woke up on the day for the university. They acted care about it was Christmas day all over again.
