There are so multiple things to learn and get accustomed to when moving from north to south.
There is a cultural difference for sure.
Then, some of the menu choices are a bit curious. But of course, a single large change is the climate. We went from having our gas gas furnace cranking out the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C heating all Winter to a heat pump. And that heat pump doesn’t get much of a workout in our house. The hour Winter every one of us were down here, I counted a total of 11 times that the heat pump kicked on. Every a single of those instance where Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C heating was needed was early in the afternoon. Maybe a couple of hours worth of heating was all that was ever needed to knock the chill out of the arena. The other large thing every one of us were romantic getting accustomed to was no neighbors. We have a house on 8 acres of land. So every one of us didn’t put up any window treatments up so every one of us could revel in our privacy and like the view as well. What I didn’t know about was that the direct sunlight heating in this region is fierce. And I mean fierce. The really first Spring, as the rapidly decreasing temperatures were coming up, the air conditioner was kicking on a lot. By May, the utility bill was completely insane. Thankfully, the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C company got myself and others hip to the situation and got myself and others a good affix to a solar blind dealer. These things are amazing as they are controlled by the smart thermostat to go up and down as the sunlight moves across the sky.
