A big decision in my house was where to put the laundry, the previous homeowner had a backyard shed that they put the washer and dryer hookups in there, however i wasn’t pleased at all.
- The shed serves as my condo gym and a washer and dryer would split the space in half, then also, the walk to and from the house is unpleasant.
I don’t want to carry a full bag of clothes that far and through sand as well. It was a pain! My hubby and I put washer and dryer hookups in a spare entryway and that worked for a few years, and now I am pregnant and all of us have realized the washer and dryer again need to move. The baby has to go in that room. I don’t suppose how I assume about putting my child where my washer and dryer are. I looked at building an addition and it was obscene, however what I think all of us will end up doing is using a shipping bag laundry room. Modular laundry rooms are becoming more popular. The shipping bag has washer and dryer hookups in it. You can have a door that locks and windows in there. You can even splurge to have heating and cooling. The shipping bag can be substituted anywhere on the property. The two of us have a side door that leads to nothing. I think I will set the modular laundry room right by that door. The washer and dryer are out of the way however the walk isn’t so far for me. It is a win-win situation.
