My grandpa told me the other day that they just keep it way too hot at the retirement home community where he moved recently.
- He originally told me that he wanted to go and live there so that he wouldn’t have to be all alone all the time and that made total sense to me.
It was one of those things that made sense when he told me about it, though. He also said that he liked the idea of someone else cooking three meals a day for him. I would like that myself and I’m not even retirement age yet! I guess it’s time for my grandpa to move on with his life and do stuff like that now, though. Anyway, I always tell him that if he ever needs anything that he can just call me up and I’ll be over to see him as soon as I can. When he told me that they keep it way too hot at the home, I asked him if there was any way that I could install a window unit air conditioning system in his room for him. He went and asked the administrator about it and he told my grandpa that it would be perfectly fine to put a window unit air conditioning in his room as long as he was able to pay a $10 stipend on his bill each month for the cooling costs. That made my grandpa pretty happy because he told me that he was really sick and tired of the hot temperatures in that place.
